The flowering tops of the yarrow plant, scientifically known as Achillea millefolium, are where yarrow oil, an essential oil, is derived. Achillea millefolium flowers are used to extract the volatile oil referred to as yarrow essential oil using the steam distillation method. It is well known for having a number of different qualities, including astringent, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, and expectorant. Additionally, yarrow essential oil relieves aching muscles and joints by increasing circulation when applied during massages. It relaxes the body and mind and promotes sound sleep. It gives the skin a fresh, flawless appearance. It promotes wound healing.

Skincare:

It is thought to possess astringent properties that can help tone and tighten the skin, minimizing pores' visibility, and fostering a more youthful complexion. Since it may help control sebum production and lessen acne symptoms, yarrow oil is also used in skin care products for oily or acne-prone skin.

Wound healing:

Yarrow oil supports wound healing. It is thought to possess antimicrobial and antiseptic properties that can heal wounds and stop infection. For minor scrapes, bruises, and cuts, yarrow oil can be applied topically.

How to Use Yarrow Essential Oil?

Avoid using this essential oil on the skin undiluted; always dilute it with carrier oils first, such as castor oil, jojoba oil, or coconut oil. Add a few drops (2–3) of Yarrow oil to increase its moisturizing and rejuvenating properties. It shields your skin from irritants and allergens. Oil ingredients provide anti-aging agents.
